Specifically, I'm looking for information on how to purchase the software/music used at your typical noraebang here in Korea. That includes the books that list the music by number, and I'd even be interested to hear some information about the equipment they use.
Does anyone know anything about these? |

Not exactly what you want, but Costco sell a microphone that connects to your TV and has a lot of noraebang songs.
They demonstrate them about once a week at my local Costco.
it costs 274,000 and can be updated, but I'm not sure how.
it's probably on the Costco korea website (but more expensive there than in store) |

The microphone stores the songs? |

Yep... those are pretty cool. You can find them at Homever, located in the same building as the CGV at Yatap station in Bundang, as well (Yellow line).
The mic has a chip inside and push buttons all along the shaft. You get a book with the mic, and I think you can buy upgrades somehow. They have two models for sale.
I've seen them for sale at Techno-Mart at Gangbyeon station on the Green Line as well. You can find the actual noraebang machines there, too. |
