As a conservative Brit (far left US??) I most fervently hope that Bush survives his term.

Ker-iste - have you worked out that the organ-grinder would follow?????? Wink

Ummmm....ermmm...that's the REPUBLIC of Georgia, not the State of Georgia. Confused

The TV news said some Georgian said it was the biggest crowd in Georgian history and that the country is very pro-American. That was nice. Those places are kind of rare these days.

However, to let some air out of the balloon, the two flags-made-of-people were thought up and organized by the American government. Isn't Karen Hughes' job to think up ways to improve the image of the US? Way to go, girl! Wink

Damn!! Mea culpa... mea maxima culpa... I suppose I'm going to have to read more carefully now... my apologies to all those non-revolting Americans out there (the revolting ones too).

>. From the Ministry of Truth ( FOX ) article ...

"The Secret Service learned of the possible grenade after Bush left the former Soviet republic on Tuesday. Georgian authorities said a device was thrown within 100 feet of the stage before knocking against a spectator and falling to the ground, according to Secret Service spokesman Jonathan Cherry."

I didn't want to do a grammar police thing, but I can't help asking if 'possible grenade' is normal usage.

It strikes me that this makes more sense:
Possibly a grenade was possibly thrown at Bush during his speech, possibly in Georgia.
