Hi, I would like ask this question anybody that has got packages from outside Korea into Korea...

Does Korean customs check mail and packages?

I just want to know as I will be investing in some materials from a headshop...NOTHING ILLEGAL...so I don't need told-you-so anti-drug ass bandits posting here...

Thanks for the responses in advance...

I have had lots of mail sent to me from my home country and I can't remember anything being inspected by Korean customs. Now, customs from my home country, they seem to inspect everything that is leaving their country.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon last year and had one box delivered to me that had been opened and searched by customs. It was maybe my fourth or fifth order in roughly a three month period. I don't know if it was a random check or if they were keeping track and got suspicious.

my stuff has been held up by customs twice, once because it was an odd shape and once because it was food items.

My co-worker had to call customs as she got a box of potato chips sent over, the box was large and very light....anyway she called as the package never arrived, it was held at customs and she had to answer a load of questions before it was released....

My friend's package had chocolates removed from it.

My parents once sent cash to me with some Christmas presents. I told them they were smarter than that, even if it was only 50 bucks.
