I read on here previously (cannot find the sticky again for the life of me) that there is a device called a neti pot that is good for flushing one's sinuses. I was wondering if anyone knows where a fella might buy one of these rigs in the Seoul area. I usually have unpleasant sinus activity in Canada from time to time and by the sound of things this yellow dust probably wont help so I am willing to try something new. Thanks for the info.

I goggled and was going to order one on ebay, but I bought a nasal mist nasal cleanser in Korea for 50K.
It is called Co-cleanser, re-chargeable and you just buy a big bottle of 1K saline. What goes up your nose, cleans and makes it way to your stomach.
The netti pot is all manual and requires you to tilt your head over a sink.

I used Co-cleanser for several weeks, and my nose is not too sensitive like it was. I think I used it once in the last month, when I felt a bit sneezy one morning.

I can't find a link online right now, but later if needed, I will.

A quick search on naver for nasal irrigation has netti-pots and info about irrigation.

I don't think there's anything special about a Neti pot. It's just a little teapot small enough to fit up a nostril. I used to know someone who used one of those olive oil bottles with a spout for it... well-cleaned out, of course.

You may not be able to find one with the Neti label on it, but if you look around for teapots or bottles or something (Insadong?) you might be able to find what you need.

That might give you some ideas as to what you could rig up.

Embarassed i mix common salt with warm water and snort it through a straw.
HAHA only a few times a year though.

Saline solution and salt mixed with water are the same arent they? like holy water, evian and tap water. Wink

My father left a sinus rinse kit with me when he visited. When I went back home I bought more of the sinus rinse packets for making the saline solution.
There is a buffer ingredient as well as the salt in the packet.

If you want to make your own this is the "recipe"
Quote:
tsp. of kosher or pickling salt
 tsp. baking soda
8 oz. of warm tap water

I'm glad I brought my own though - because it's not always easy to find baking soda here and I really don't like thinking about measuring when I feel sick.

This is a little off your OP, but what you are suffering from is not yellow dust. There has been little to no yellow dust this year. Any ill-effects you are having is do to the general air quality where you live.
