Early in 2007, Sklansky offered a challenge to Christian fundamentalists. Contestants would first have to pass a lie detector test affirming their belief that Jesus was resurrected from the dead and that those who didn't believe this would go to hell. Then they would have to take a mathematics test and outscore Sklansky. The first person to pass both stages would receive $50,000. The idea was to prove, in Sklansky's words, that "Fundamentalists are at least 10 times less likely than Asians, Jews, or atheists to be scientifically brilliant." To date nobody has passed the challenge
