Someone told me that it is not really necessary to leave the country when you renew your contract for another year. Is that true, and what is the procedure?
Can anybody help? |

My understanding is that if you're working for the same employer, it is not necessary to leave the country (as you are simply extending an original visa). However, if you are working for a new employer (and, therefore, applying for a new visa) you must leave the country. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

Some immigration offices will let you renew in-country even with a new employer. Mine did. |
