Does anybody know of any PS with SMOE that I should try to avoid?Incidents like poor housing, late pay, sketchy vacation.
In contrast, any PS that kick ass?
I don't know if I will have much of a say in which school I am going to, but a heads up is always good. |

Let's see...12 million people in the Seoul Metropolitan area. It shouldn't take too long to compile a list of schools! |

I don't think it'll matter because you don't get to request your school. |

You might find out before orientation, you will probably find out during orientation and you might find out after orientation when you go to meet your school teachers.
aarontendo is correct, you don't pick your school.
The issues you are worried about are not issues in SMOE (99% of the time). The contract is through SMOE, not the school, and SMOE pays on time, gives you your vacation, etc. Now there might be some lazy or uninformed person in your school that forgets to pay you or doesn't think you should get to have your vacation, but a quick call to your district office or SMOE office clears those issues up.
For housing, request, no....demand, that you are not placed in the Co-op Residence. Search about that place. |
