I tracked down a job, had an excellent interview and was hired two days later. It took me four days from first rash of E-Mails to having a good contract in my hands. It was a personal best.
Then the bloody red tape started. Criminal Checks, nortary seals, passport photos. Calling the Consulate to make sure that everything was in order. And somehow, through all the BS, I landed a job and got through the Criminal Check Process. It took two f'in weeks to get everything together and finally, after all that, I was ready to send everything off. So, I called the loyal and dependable, most bestest delivery company in the world to handle the final send off. I called up Fed-Ex; proudly announcing that I had a package to send to South Korea and was ready to send it off as a personal representive of who I am.
That was yesterday, today being Saturday, I started the tracking process and being the being the uptight person that I am, I called Fed - Ex personally and asked where it is. Right now it's in Memphis; which is cool. Me and Memphis have got no problem with each other. Then the girl on the other end told me that it will arrive in Trinidad by Tuesday...
Trinidad?
I told her that it wasn't going to Trinidad, it was going to South Korea. Well, it seems like someone f'ed up and is sending it to the wrong continent. I mean, I can totally see where the mix-up would take place. South Korea - South America. It's like there the same place. Right? Although, I'm sure that something on the package could have tipped someone off like, the korean sounding name and Address. The THREE phone numbers that I included all starting with the two numers 82, or maybe it was the name of the city: Masan. Yeah, I'm sure that Horse Mountain is a comman name for a town in Trinidad.
I'm just slightly pissed off at the whole situation. Anyone else have Fed - Ex f-up this badly with one of your packages?

Yeah they ballsed up my documents because the idiot who picked them up didn't fill in the form properly. They had to bring it back to me so I could fill the form out again. This meant my documents didn't arrive on time.
But to be fair to Fed Ex, they did come good in the end. The package left my house on Friday afternoon and arrived in Daegu on Tuesday - one day late. And they refunded the full cost of shipping. Their customer service was excellent in my experience. |

That's good to hear. It's a bit disheartening to have yet another barrior along this path. I know that they'll will fix it in the end. But still...DAMN YOU FED-EX!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Think of it like this, you might instead have used DHL, thinking they're all much of a muchness. Then you'd now be a tremblin' mass of tics.
Count yourself one of the lucky ones!! |
