Sorry to hear about that. Don't start complaining immediately, take the time, a week or more even to think through what you want to do.

Maybe you could stop doing anything that's not in your contract, Saturdays and the like. How long have you got left in your contract? Talking of contracts, is the weekend stuff and other extras in the contract?

I hope someone with more experience than me will give you some ideas.

Actually, you should complain right away. Why? Because if you wait, it'll soon be forgotten by everyone else. If you let it go for a while they will think you're a doormat.

Call in sick, tell them you have a dentist appointment or something else.

There are a million ways you could get around this if you are willing to be creative.

You come in occasionally on saturdays? I too have to warm my seat when there are no students at school & have far less benefits than the Korean teachers. They want me to stick to the contract, I have no qualms about it and will do it. They have asked me to come in on a saturday before (school festival) and I declined. If they stick to the contract that strictly, you should too. Ride it out and leave when you're contract's finished.

So, he doesn't get airfare...does he get housing?

So, minus airfare, his hourly rate, adjusted for the housing he most likely doesn't get, is higher than your hourly rate?

Do you have comparable degrees and years of experience? F-2 is spousal, right? So, this teacher has most likely been here a while...and you have the years to match?

He was hired to do his job. You were hired to do your job. It sounds like the things you are supposed to do are all part of the job you signed on for, but now, you are jealous because someone else has a better deal.... Tough luck -- life is kinda like that.

Yes, you are wrong to complain, but that prolly won't stop you.

This really isn't about him/her having more holiday but him/her getting more pay...So really you're being a little selfish...

I teach after-school...When there are no classes I don't have to come in...I get paid around the same as the full-time teacher at the school...

But here is the thing you've been bitching about...If there is a holiday I don't get paid for it...You do...We get paid for ever 20 days...You get paid holidays...When things like Chusok comes you get it paid...We lose out on those days for pay...It's your own fault that you work harder and don't say anything about it...

So shut your complaining and get on with the job you signed up to do...
