Sponsorship costs for an E2 Visa....
The school I'm presently considering, does not handle costs for your Visa. Is this a relatively expensive process or is it simply a matter of shipping some documents off and paying the postage. I've looked for this information but all I could find was info on the diff types of visas...

that is the only cost involved if i take it myself.. can't really speak abut the postage issue but..

it is pretty slack that the school won't cover this

They have to cover the costs to get the blue paper (I'm not sure if there actually is a cost here, they do have to take out insurance incase you do something wrong or break a law).

The actual visa is probably what they do not cover. If you are in Canada, the visa will run you $75.

If they send you to Japan, be sure they cover the cost of the flight and hotel if you have to stay overnight.

If you search a bit more, you will likely find a school that will cover the cost of the Visa, although it's not very big in terms of the rest of the money a school would generally pay to get you here.

Cheers
