A few days old, but this is worth posting.

In a shocking world exclusive The ENQUIRER has obtained tapes of two revolting phone conversations in which Duane "Dog" Chapman unleashes a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults. The star of the A&E reality show Dog, The Bounty Hunter directed his racist hatred at his son Tucker's girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black. |
The tape is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2Pig4CjUus

I don't care if she's a Mexican, a *beep* or whatever. It's not because she's black, it's because we use the word nigger sometimes here. I'm not gonna take a chance ever in life of losing everything I've worked for for 30 years because some fucking nigger heard us say nigger and turned us in to the Enquirer magazine. Our career is over! I'm not taking that chance at all! Never in life! Never! Never! If Lyssa [Dog's daughter] was dating a nigger, we would all say '*beep* you!' And you know that. If Lyssa brought a black guy home ya da da... it's not that they're black, it's none of that. It's that we use the word nigger. We don't mean you fucking scum nigger without a soul. We don't mean that shit. But America would think we mean that. And we're not taking a chance on losing everything we got over a racial slur because our son goes with a girl like that. I can't do that Tucker. |
Damn.
He did an interview with Sean Hannity. Part 1 is here (the links to 2 through 5 are on the youtube page): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2Pig4CjUus |

Am I the only one who thinks it sucks that someone could get fired because the paparazzi got a hold of their private phone conversation? |

He should have made it clear that NIG-GER is quite appropriate when referring to a LOW CLASS "black" person
Dignified, respectable and noble homies should never be labelled "low-life" NIG-GERS
Point to keep in mind is whether it's actually "racist" or not depends entirely on the speaker's intent.
To claim that criticizing one's CLASS = racism is comletely absurd.
Dog is quite ignorant & uneducated.
Pretty pathetic Larry King interview the other night |

No, you're not the only one. I don't agree with what he said, but he didn't say that in the public realm, he said them in a conversation with family which he thought was private. |

Kudos to the son for exposing a dad out of touch with reality.
I do not understand Dog's position on this. Why would a white family in Hawaii, which does not have a lot of black people, even bother using the n-word on a regular basis? From the episodes I've seen, most of his bounties aren't black either.
His excuses on the Hannity interview aren't helping either. |

Chapman also said he is making a deal to be buried at an historic slave burial ground near first U.S. President George Washington's Mount Vernon home.
"I want to be buried right where they're at because I will never be forgiven as (long as) I'm alive," Chapman said. |

Exposing him is one thing. Firing him for expressing his thoughts to his son over the phone is one step away from treating it as thoughtcrime. |

Dog has a 7th Grade education and like many less educated whites he grew up hearing and using the Nword without a sense of sensitivity about it.
While that backdrop doesn't excuse what he said, what his son did was dishonorable.
Of course, that rag The National Enquirer has no honor, no shame, and no moral principles. The real outcry--if any comes--should be directed at their continued baiting of vulnerable people and their constant intrusion into people's private lives.
You can bet your sweet azz that foul conversations of this sort have happened in the Farakkan and Sharpton families from time to time too. But they would be shielded from recrimination by the liberal media, as the latter was after it was proven that Tawana Brawley lied about white police brutality years ago.
And then you have Doctor Phil on the Larry King show being ever-so-sanctimonious, as if he has a right to judge the situation by virtue of hosting a popular talk show. He even insisted that once private conversations go public, they must be addressed. No, Phil, the Dog isn't running for office and we don't live under Big Brother--yet.
Thought police, indeed. |

I don't know about Sharpton but Farakkan is an out in the open Jew hater. Dude detests Jews. No so fond of regular whites either. He also called Jesus "that fa.g.got and his 12 qu.eer boys", which I don't find offensive but others prolly will.
There is a double standard. Whites may not use language about non-whites that non-whites can use about us (or, those of us who are cracker/honkey/whiteboy/ang moh etc). There are some fairly obvious historical reasons for this. |
