|
|
| I want to ship a couple suitcases full of clothes and other things to Vietnam. I'm not sure if the post office will actually ship a suitcase for me and I imagine Fed Ex would be really expensive. What are my other options? Will the post office ship a suitcase? Can I ship a laptop and DVD player? |

The suitcase would depend on the dimensions and weight of it - but if it was within the acceptable limits it should not present a problem to the post office.
If you pack them appropriately you will have no trouble at all in sendin gthe laptop and DVD player through the post office.
From my experience the post office options (even for their trackable courier option) was cheaper than other options (and much cheaper than from my home country)

The post office will ship a suitcase inside a cardboard box IF it is under the shipping dimensions.
Take a measuring take and wrap it around the top, back, bottom and front of the box so it meets up with the measuring tape again where you started. Take that measurement and add to it the width of the box. If the number is under 200cm, you can ship it through the Korean Post Office.
In other words, here is the formula:
(height x2) + (depth x2) + width < 200cm |

| I've heard mixed reports...is GROUND shipping (using the Korean post office) to the US still an option? I need to get some books home. |

Going to the states = yes.
Coming from the states = no. |

| For anyone who's interested in shipping from Korea, I'd recommend Corea International Logistics. They're very professional and helpful and they will go out of their way to cut costs for you. I didn't find any of the shipping companies to offer substantial differences in price, but these guys seemed by far to be the most competent. The website is www.cil.co.kr |
