I heard that it's possible to apply for residency once you have lived for more than 5 years in S.Korea.
Anybody know if that's true? |

IF you have lived here for MORE THAN 5 years
AND have NOT changed your visa / visa status
(made a visa run = clock starts again)
AND can communicate with the immigration officer in Korean
AND can show that you are a benefit to Korea
You MAY be considered for an F5 visa. |

Seems like a really tall order satisfying that criteria and answering the last question would be subjective as well So I think the only option for people who stay here long term is to marry a Korean or keep getting the E-2 visa. Hopefully it will always be easy even when old. |

Well business visa maybe if y'all are banking as much as you claim. They hold 50k of your money and theoretically you would get something pretty equalivent to the F2. |
