www.ebay.com

ps. a nintendo wii is GONNA go for more than 300,000 won on the board due in part to the rarity. You are dreaming if you think you will get one for less than 400,000

I am sure that you know this already...but if you do get a hold of one you need to buy a step-up transformer to run it on the 220 current or you will ruin your system.

Your best bet is to have a buddy buy you one at home and then have him ship it to you....I would imagine that you could pick up a used one in the states for not too much.

They aren't cheap in N.A. They are in high demand, and most stores sell out the day they get them in. He will pay close to $400 to have one bought and sent from the west. Then, like you said, you have to get a step down converter, modded if you want.. etc.

I bought a "region free" power supply from dealextreme for $15 or so, so you don't really need a transformer.

I hear Korean Wii's are just around the corner. Rumor is, they'll be here for Children's Day. So hold on for a little bit longer! Very Happy

Not to hijack, but what would a modded US Wii sell for here? About 400,000?

I would think at least that if you were buying it on the board. If it is modded, I would say 450,000.

Unless you've played the Wii and really like it, I'd really recommend an XBOX360 instead. To me the Wii is cool and all but the novelty runs out fairly quickly and the controllers are horrible for real games.

Ah not to burst anyones expert advice on how a Wii will work here in S.K. but I've lived here for 4 months now and mine works just fine using an adapter. I brought it from home and have had no issues with powering it. So go out there and buy your little pluggy thingy and have at it!! No expensive power adapter needed!

I have no complaints about our wii's control's on anything other than FPS which are best played on a computer anyway.

But yeah I am glad i bought one before I came, as they will be hrd to come by here.

OP send me a pm if you are interested in buying me out. I have an American version Wii with Guitar Hero and lots of other games. Two controllers, gun holder thingy, two old school controllers (actually new, but works for games that ask for the old school controllers), the adapter you need, and probably some other stuff I can't think of right now. It is pretty new and will cost ya a pretty penny, but I'll bring it to you if you are in or around Seoul. I'll give you the list of games should you pm me. Thanks

Well, the problem with that is then it wouldn't play U.S. games.

It will play copied (burnt) games of any region if you get it modded (50-70) in Yongsan Smile
