Glad to see these guys get their due props. Can't wait to hear the new tracks...should be a good preview for what's coming up on season two.
Anyone know when the new season is slated to start? |

They're good. I like them. But novelty music can't be sustained for long. |

Novelty music can't be sustained for long... ?
Well, it's true that the same joke generally gets less funny the more often it's heard. I remember hearing about them years ago (I'm from the same home town as them) and so I wonder what it's like for those who first heard their songs and jokes years ago... if in fact they are playing the exact same material. There is different stuff available already though. Did you hear the BBC 'documentary'? It's on YouTube I think.
I also wonder if the fact that jokes/ humour are within a song give it greater longevity compared to standard spoken stand-up delivery routines. They balance the humour with the music so seamlessly it kind of creates its own energy... Or certainly its own interest value: just how long CAN they keep up this standard of ... (what's it called again..?!) ... accoustic digi-folk-rock comedy? |
