I'm in the market for upgrading my camcorder. Anyone have any recommendations for HDD models? I'm not really stuck on one brand or another, although I have been happy with my current Sony.
The only real thing I'm looking for is a decent optical zoom and a good night vision.
If I could put together a short list of 3-4 different models, I could do my own research from there, but as it stands now there are too many HDD models out there to choose from. I don't know where to start.

None of them are as good as the proper DV cameras especially in low lighting and I've been looking since JVC came out with the very first one.
Plus most of the latest ones from Sony and Panasonic uses AVCHD video codecs which aren't easily playable on PCs. |
