I have a great lesson plan using some videos and what not, and now the projector is broken, this is my 2nd class with a broken projector!
What are some good back up lesson plans to keep handy for high schoolers for situations like this? |

I usually change classrooms with another teacher. If I can't do that I just do games. |

What are some easy games to play with high schoolers without any prep? |

Word association, but they have to explain the association. If someone says chocolate, adn the next person says elephant, then they have to explain. The slightest association is usually good enough for me.
I forget the Korean name. Last letter, first letter.
toy - yesterday - yellow - white - egg - giant.....
I do it in groups. There are six rows of desks in the class, so three groups of two rows. And they get penalties. When someone makes a mistake, I ask, "Sing or Dance?" and the class chooses the punishment.
Bullshit is another fun activity. One student will tell the class something that might be true or might be bullshit. The class will decide. If the person gets away with it, he or she can choose the next person who goes. If they catch him or her out, the teacher can choose who goes next. |

Oh those are great easy games! Thanks....
I hate when I have a lesson plan then the stupid overhead p.o.s is broken. I tell my K teacher that he has to take over cause I"m out of a lesson plan, so he just tells them to study while I stand at the front of class, and he leaves to go take a nap....awesome, thanks for all your help. |
