I'm going to China on Saturday morning. My flight leaves at 8am, so I'm wondering if I will be able to exchange money at around 6:30am, or if I should exchange some at the bank on Friday.
Is it possible to get yuan at the bank here? If so is the exchange rate any different from the airport? |

The rates would be almost the same. Different banks have slightly different rates (even at the airport). The exchange booths at the Incheon airport have the same rates as their counterparts (bank foreign exchange desks) in the city.
The exchange counter on the arrivals level is 24 hour.
The exchange booths on the departures level are open 6am - 10pm.
It is difficult to find RMB at the banks in the city here.
You will get the official exchange rate (bank rate) at the exchange booths in the airport in China (I assume you are going to Beijing). I don't know about other airports.
It is always advisable to exchange your won to something else BEFORE you leave Korea. In your case, RMB, US$ or EUROs.
