In the meantime, hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars were unnecessarily spent, and worse yet, too many of our most precious military resource, our American soldiers, were unnecessarily wounded, maimed, and killed as a result. In my mind, this action by the Bush administration amounts to gross incompetence and dereliction of duty. |

Strong words from a three star general don't you think? Not like any appropriate investigation or inquest will be held. Can a president/pentegon officials even be charged with dereliction of duty?Does being commander in chief make one accountable to military justice/regulations? I can't imagine if ever becoming an issue. Perhaps those with more knowledge of american military history can fill me in. |
