It's mostly a good place. I have a wonderful fiance and I have some really great schools, except for one that is declining. I like the food and met lots of cool people. Can't knock on Korea too much. The government drives me insane and EPIK is starting to but nothing can be perfect.

I've only been here two months. I'm still reserving judgement.

I'm tall, white, dress decently, not ugly, and don't stink. Life in Korea is a walk in the park.

Having said that: I can't wait to get home. Been here 6 years and I cant stand the frickin insecure, whiney, ignorant, hypocritical, pitiful, desperate for attention, "spolied 16 year old" vibe that permeates modern Korea.

So newbie what's in your future? From your description I think a career in undertaking would be a good choice.

One thing about Korea that I like? Some of the best black metal in Asia. If you don't like metal, you wouldn't get it.

One thing that really irritates me? I agree, there is a whiny 16 year old vibe that permiates here.

Yesterday I saw a well dressed grown man throwing a cry baby temper tantrum in a market because his favorite ice cream was sold out. Only person who gave a *beep* was his wife, who also was throwing a temper tantrum. I had to wait in line behind them for five minutes while they argued with the woman behind the counter. So did the other 15 people in line behind me. You have got to be kidding. Ice cream?

Would it have made it any better if it was a type of soju? Why don't you have the one that causes organ shutdown after only a bottle? I don't care if it was banned, I like it the most, I want it, I want it, I want it!!!!!!

actually, that would have made it kind of funny Laughing

My time in Korea was about as nice as a trip to the dentist. The men are just animals, and they are zeeeerooo attractive. The place smells everywhere and there are about a billion germs on everything. Now I am safe at home, and never regret leaving.
