at Nike corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
True, it was only a statue of a nude wagukkin woman, but who knows what these heathen K-folks will do next.
The council members tried to explain their behaviour with a "difference of culture" excuse. Apparently, they wanted the Portland folks to understand that in Korea politicians sexually molest all the nude statues they come across for the very good reason that, unlike female journalists, not a single statue has ever filed a complaint against them with the police.

That's just down right peculiar. First, that the council members would make a public display of their immaturity. Second, that the company would make it public--and include the whole council if it was only 2 members.
I get the feeling there is more to this story. |

| Government officials invited to Nike to build a better relationship should be held to a higher standard than slacker ESL'ers, just my opinion. |

You really dodged the bullet there. I guess you weren't traveling on official business in Busan representing your country's government, or people might have been paying more attention to you and/or held you to a higher standard. |

American erotophobia lives!
I wouldn't be surprised if the sex abuse witchhunt soon is extended to include statues. I mean, the statues certainly did nothing to encourage their molestation, and being inanimate they certainly could not have consented.
I guess this makes former Attorney General John Asscrap a hero for covering up a statue's naked boob at the Department of Justice, and saving her from one of these sick predators.
This is clearly the state of Oregon's fault for failing to pass a statue molestation law.

This is a result of the Puritan mindset of early America. |
