So I have a new job, and my former employer is bankrupt (owes a ton of teachers money). So, of course she's doing what any Hagwon owner would do...not answering her phone.
I'm starting my job on Tuesday, and Immi is being hard-assed about it: I have a letter from my job, my case has been taken by the labor board, etc. They just aren't moving from the position that my employer needs to come in.
Advice? |

I thought someone said that if your employer has broken your contract that you don't need a letter of release. Can you prove your employer has broken the contract? Does the labor board agree that your contract is broken? If the school is closed then I would imagine that the contract is broken. Can you prove the school closed? |

I'm in the middle of stating my case with Labor right now. Right now the school is in limbo until SDA (who hired *them* to hire and manage teachers) finds a new hagwon to take over their program. So, as far as proving that the school closed...I don't even know what I could take to this stubborn assed immigration office to convince them easily. |

Alright. Went back to immi a third time, went to a younger immi officer, and get an exit order with no problem. I think an issue/roadblock was going to the older officers who don't speak english very well. |
