Can anyone recommend a good Indian restaurant in the Hongdae area and provide directions? I'm looking for good rice, and nan. Not bothered about good lager.
Thanks in advance. |

| I'd say go 6 subway stops down the line to Itaewon. HongDae is pretty good for Korean food and some fusion, but the international food is, on average, sub par. |

| There's a good Indian place in Sinchon, just across the street from the main Yonsei gate. I know it's not Hongdae, but it's close. |

There's a great Nepalese/Indian place in Hongdae. It's called Shanti. Always full of people, very nice interior, play Indian music, reasonable price (around 12,000 each). And the food (curry, samosa, naan) is top notch. The lamb I had there was better than any other place I've been to in Korea yet... I think the chef is a real Nepalese guy... Anyhow, this is an excellent place to impress any girl on a date, as this restaurant is amazing, but not so well known it seems. And if the place is too busy, they take your number and call you when the table is ready... Very nice service, excellent place! Would go there anytime.
I think it's off exit #4?? Turn right at the buy the way, and then left at the seven eleven (or maybe it's the other way round...umm) sorry if my directions suck. |

I forget the name but there's a good one on the alley next to Bricx. A decent Thai restaurant and a cool bar that looks like a museum are on the same street.
IMO the best (and cheapest) Indian restaurants in Seoul are in Dongdaemun. |
