I previously worked with EPIK in Gyeongbuk and am considering returning this September. I had a good time but want to live further south and somewhere different. I was placed in Gumi and found it close enough to Daegu and Seoul but just far enough at the same time. I'll be coming with my girlfriend and our goal here is just to save up and live comfortably.

I was wondering if those of you in Busan and Gyeongnam have positive feedback on the schools you were placed in. Where were you located and how was your overall experience this past year?

Anyone know any similarly sized cities in Gyeongnam?

Anyone else here in the incoming Sept. 2008 class?

I'm in Changnyeong-gun and lovin' it as are most of the other FTs in my immediate vicinity.

Check out Tongyeong. That'd be a nice place for you an your GF to plant yourselves for a year.

Thanks for the reply! Are you or any of the other FTs renewing your contracts?

I just read some info on Tongyeong and it looks like a nice city by the sea. Would you happen to know how long it would take to get to Busan? Thanks.

Tongyeong to Busan? Probably about 2 and a half hours.

I think most of the FTs contracts in our town are up for renewal around Sept, Oct of this year, mine included. I and one other FT will be renewing, but there are about another 4 or 5 who I'm not sure about. They're younger and I think this town is just a bit too quiet for them so they may head off to the cities etc.

PM me if you want some more specifics.

I don't have enough posts to PM yet. Can you PM me your email address so we can correspond that way? Thanks.
