Can anyone recommend any good new games for the DS? Professor Layton and the Curious Village is pretty good, as is Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.

My girlfriend is obsessed with Hotel Dusk: Room 215. It does look pretty cool.

dementium - the ward
final fantasy iv
space invaders extreme
picross ds (not new, but often overlooked)
trauma centre 2 (not my thing, but supposedly good)

Professor Layton is a fantastic game! A little too linear for my liking, but fantastic all the same.

Geometry Wars DS is a lot of fun if you liked it on the 360.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but if you're into strategy RPGs (or games that will eat up hours upon hours of your life), then check it out.

My wife and I love Zelda, Prof. Layton, Mario Kart (of course) and a raft of others. But for playing games your best bet for DS is going to Yongsan and buying the R4 DS chip http://www.r4dscart.com/

This is basically a cartridge like a typical DS game but allows the use of 1-4GB (maybe even higher now) Micro SD cards (mini Secure Digital for use in mobile phones). Using this you can download DS games (ROMS) off torrents and upload them in seconds to your SD card then play like mad on your DS but having more than one game to play.

My wife and I found mega-rom packs of literally all the games online (torrent), simple copy and paste and play.

Chat with your students they all will have the R4 chip and about 40 games loaded.
