If socks are supposed to come in pairs, then we should have 2. How many do you have?

Let me put it this way. If you voted more than 3 you're probably either out of the loop or borderline schizophrenic.

I have enough socks to keep me going for about 16 days without doing laundry. That's not counting the ones that are "cute" but not particularly useful for doing renovations.

Very Happy

This being the problem. I'm sure nobody has enough different combinations of clothes to go without washing for 16 days. Therefore the 16 pairs of socks never all get worn because 11 pairs get pushed to the back of the drawer. So probably in summary people only wear 5 pairs maximum. IM humble O!

I guess I have 50 or 60 pairs. These include those really short summer ones. I have 20 black pairs that are all identical that I wear to work.

Okay, the BIG questions.....why is it that, no matter how many BILLIONS of pairs of socks a man buys, he never seems to have enough?

Putting on a brand new pair of socks is divine, one of life's most superior felicities.

I may have to interject here. I've never bought my own socks it seems to be the birth right of mum's and gran's to do that. My best friend every year gets 20 pairs of sock all embroided with 'W' on them from his parents. The first letter of the family name.

The divinity I agree with, only surpassed by sleeping in a bed with clean sheets that have been drying out in a meadow somewhere. MMmmmm!
