Okay. I've been through the weft and weave of these threads for a while now, and one thing remains glaringly enigmatic to me.

Spliff.

I hadn't hoped to let the guy revel in a thread being dedicated to him, but I have to know.

Is the guy a genius? Seriously - a savant genius? He rarely posts more than one line (hell, more than one word), and usually those posts are shockers ostensibly designed to inflame passions within the OP.

Little did we know that he is brilliant. Brilliant.

Every once in a great while Spliff posts words that resonate with understanding, wisdom, and - yes- tenderness. Usually, Spliff posts wild witticisms. Sometimes, he is abrasive as hell.

When the situation is ugly, Spliff is there, offering nonsense. When it gets nasty, Spliff comes through with his trademark comic relief. But when folks are at their worst, when things are seriously coming to a head, then Spliff posts a line (or far less frequently, two), that brings the thread to a halt. Spliff makes folks think.

So raise a glass lads, to Spliff. Thank ye, sir, for being a voice of normalcy on this forum (if irregularly), for letting us all know that we've been taking ourselves too seriously.

Spliff, I salute you!

Interesting. You might think so, I suppose, and I think it's cool that you might think so.

But I am I. Have no doubt.

Reesedog, I completely agree with you! Spliff, and Mrsquirrel, are by far my favorite posters. They never fail to make me smile!

Spliff, mrsquirrel, and yes, miles - they're all in that list. I love the various personalities here. Fellas - keep up the good work. You're keeping the rest of us in stitches.

Reesedog joined this month, sounds like a sock, probably spliff's.

The latter is a troll, not sure what to make of the former.
