My Gastroesophageal reflux disease has been acting up and I am curious about what treatment others in Korea with this problem have received. |

Pop into your local yak guk (pharmacy) and get some ranitidine tabs.
37.5mg tabs, over the counter, no script required.
Write the name on a slip of paper so the pharmacist can read it - they may not understand your pronunciation.

I don't know if I actually have GERD, but I have very frequent heartburn and have been taking Prilosec for a long time. I don't know if they have anything like it here in Korea. I brought a large supply with me when I came over from the States and plan to pick up more while I'm in Hawaii in August. I have seen a bit of it at the Red Door and I'm sure the lady there could get more if you ask for it. It's about the best non-prescription acid reducer that you'll find anywhere. |
