i recall getting a msg both in korean and in english in march stating if u have a pre-paid phone and dont go to a local sk store and register it, theyll turn it off.
i left korea about a week before the date they said they would turn it off on 3/30. did anyone not register their sk phone and have it turned off?
or what happened?
im coming back to korea in june and wondering if my phone will still work or if ill have to get it re-activated or get a new number? |

I received those msgs as well but nothing happened. I didn't even try to register. It's May and my phone still works. I can still make deposits...I made one 2 weeks ago. |

they changed the cancellation date to 30th june as people were having trouble registering their phones. furthermore, i think you can register the number in your name now without needing the person's ID card under whom it was originally registered. well thats what SK told me. |

I tried to register myself before the March deadline...was told I would lose the number as original person who riegistered was not in country to sign it over to me.
Got new number and NOTHING happened to old one. So now I have 2 phones, lol. |
