global.gmarket.co.kr - I picked up a new tent and sleeping bag for less than 20k each, perfectly good quality. Let me know if you want the specific links. |

E-mart is a good place too. If you plan on only camping 3 seasons in Korea the stuff they have there will be fine and it is cheap. If you are only doing summer, camping get a thin bag or you will be hot as hell at night. I bought one at E-mart for 25,000 and it has been excellent for summer.

some of that advice was good. also, when i was looking for a tent I was blown away by the retail prices at homeplus, emart...
dongdaemoon stadium is a bit of a sh it hole and not the easiest place to find what your looking for but there are new but old tents there for reasonable prices. they are new in the box, but they've been in that box for quite a few years. I didnt see sleeping bags there when I went though.
campmor.com is a great clearence website in the states where you could find a bag/tent cheap enough where the shipping to korea still wouldnt be that much of a bother. |

If they can beat $38 inc. shipping for a new, perfectly functional tent and a sleeping bag, they must be giving that sh*t away |

US army surplus stuff at the Namdaemun market. Walk around, there is lots of it there. tents, bags and camping gear....
Or if you want consumer / retail stuff, light blue line (#4) exit at Hoehyeon station. Walk up the stairs. Turn to your left and walk to the street. Turn to you right and choose the vendor of your choice along the sidewalk shops. |
