I went to Jongno, but I only found a few small stores with guitars. I don't think I found the big store I have seen posts about. Also, there is a video on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUhmG99cvyw
Is this the store? If so, where is it? I know the station is Jongno 3, but which exit is it near? I walked around for about 2.5 hours before I had to go, and I couldn't find a big guitar store that I would normally see in America. |

| So this store is different from other guitar shops in Korea in that it has 1000 Corts instead of the usual 50? Awesome! |

Or, exit #1, walk straight and turn right at the park. Might be easier, depending on which subway line he takes in.
OP, keep in mind that there's really nothing on the outside of the building that would indicate that guitar nirvana lies inside. |

If you want to get a pedal, be prepared to get ripped off. You can not test out brand new pedals there because it "isn't fair to the amplifiers," so I was told by the sales rep at one of the vendors.
"So how am I supposed to know if I like how it sounds if I can not hear how it sounds?" I asked the man.
"You can go on the company website and listen.."
"Okay, but has it been recorded digitally and was it recorded direct?"
"Yes it was recorded direct."
"Then I would like to hear how it sounds through an amplifier."
"You can't because it isn't fair to the amplifier."
So I walked away from the guy and bought two used pedals next door to him. He almost had a deal but he had to be a *beep* and ruin it.
Look at the used stuff first. A good shop in there is called GUITAR SHOP UNDERGROUND. You'll know you're in there when you see the giant Jimi Hendrix Poster. The man who runs the shop is short, and has long hair. He knows his shit, but you might want to go with someone who speaks Korean, but again, he knows his shit. He has repaired everything in there himself. I just picked up a super delux Big Muff Pedal. Sounds ridiculous, and although I could pay less for it in the States, it is a rare find indeed. |

I went again today and finally found it. I am really surprised why they don't have signs indicating there are many small instrument shops at the building.
The building from outside appears to be a bank. It is kitty korner to EXIT 5 (Jongno 3). Go up 1 or 2 floors and it's right there.
Now I got to read up on Corts and see if it's worth buying one. |
