I've used the search function, but couldn't dig up very much info.
How is the area? I've heard there are a lot of restaurants and bars. What about shopping? Any Emart type stores around there? My boyfriend was looking at a map and it seems that there's a 2001 Outlet closeby. Can someone confirm?
Any info about the Cheolsan station area is much appreciated. Thanks a lot! |

I really miss living there. Yes there is a lot going on. Mountains for hiking close by, go up to DokSan and you will find an outdoor gym, not just pull up bars, but actual weight lifint equipment. It's really nice up there.
The Cheolsan market area is nice. Also you can walk to Gwangmyeong Market area and it's really nice.
I lived there for 15 months. PM me and I can tell you more. Why are you curious? Are you moving there? Where are you going to work? I know a lot of people down there, pretty good bunch.
Alright, take care. |

There's a pretty cool pedestrian only street with bars, restaurants etc. that runs for about 4 or more blocks. That's where most of the action is.
A Kims club recently opened that has standard grocery shopping and a decent selection of Western stuff like cheese, wine, and all. It's right next to the sunbway station.
There are plenty of other teachers out there. You'll often find people in Wa bar, down one of the sidestreets on a weekend. There's a batting cage next door that can be fun after some drinks.
All in all it's a pretty good location. I don't live there, but work nearby. That's about what I know of the area. |
