Unfortunately, you have to have it done at the Consulate that is responsible for your region. If you look at the websites, the Consulates list which States they cover. |

Not quite my experience.
My girlfriend is from Oklahoma. I'm from San Francisco. We both got our visas taken care of at the San Francisco consulate, no problem, even tho' she'd been living in Oklahoma for 6 months.
The two consulates covering her region are Dallas and Chicago, neither of which she visited.
Once we got the visa issuance number from our school back in mid Feb, she flew out to San Francisco, and we went to the consulate in San Francisco where they processed us both without question.
It may not be what they're supposed to do, but it worked out fine with us. I'd suggest calling the consulate you want to interview at to double check. |

I can honestly tell you the people in the San Francisco South Korean Consulate on Clay street are exemplary...they are quick, kind and help in anyway you need...I used them twice for my visas... |
