if any of the forum experts could please advise,

are there any specific questions i can ask my recruiter to determine whether the job is an afterschool program or a hogwan?

i know i could come out straight and ask my recruiter, but i'm already a bit iffy on his responses so far.

eg. are classes at the local public school? - would this clarify with 100% certainty if it is an afterschool program?

the reason i ask is because the job offer is:

2.5Mil won - starting salary for newbie teacher (with TESOL certificate)
10am-4pm
teaching hour 4-5hr 100hr / mth
housing, pension, health insurance
19days vacation plus national holidays
severance
location - daejun city

high starting salary and 19days vacation seems high - any idea why salary and vacation are high?

............
thanks for any responses

Smile

10AM and 4PM seem far to early for a PS after-school programme. More likely it's a kindy-elementary hagwon gig. If you don't mind that age group it looks like a pretty good newbie offer.

OP, I still suggest u go through the routine of researching the school, talking to current and former teachers, etc... It may look good on PAPER, sure. Good Luck.
