I just moved to southwestern Daejeon and I'm looking for somewhere to try a martial art. I'd prefer hapkido, but taekwondo or any of the Korean variations of kendo would be fine as well.
I speak very little Korean, so I'd prefer a place that has experience dealing with foreigners, so if you can recommend any places, please do.
I'm looking to go either on the weekends, or in the mornings.
Thanks |

My officemate studies hapkido, so I'll ask him tomorrow where he goes. I know the instructor does not speak English, though (my officemate does not speak Korean).
There is a haedong kumdo (kendo with actual steel swords) dojo near the Pizza Hut in Yongjeon-dong, down the street from Junja-land (the Junja-land near HomePlus). They don't speak English there, either, I'm afraid, but very patient nonetheless. |
