My wife and I are visiting my family in England.

I have almost 4 weeks off school because 2 weeks are for my contract renewal.

My wife has gone shopping, loves my Mum's food and we are enjoying it here.

We're only visiting for 9 days.

On Sunday, we'll head for London, see the sites and come back to Korea on the 6th. I return to school on August 21st.

I like every spare moment away from school, all on full pay of course!

It feels good to have a break from the routine of regular teaching.

See you soon Laughing

Your wife is from Iraq, no? I take it this is her first time in the UK. How is she enjoying it? Have fun.

She is really liking it. She is Iraqi. Our Pakistani friends have met her and she is quite impressed with the warm welcome she has received.

She prefers the food and clothing in England. Korea is not in the same league in those areas.

She is also amazed at how many foreigners there are from all over the world in the U.K. She feels they are not openly disrespectful to foreigners like in Korea.

I advised her she has to bear in mind she has only been here a couple of days, but she likes it.
