Hey. I just received my internet from BigBox after finally getting my UFO card. I paid extra for the more expensive modem (100,000) and more a month for what they said was 100 M/s. I tested my speed on several sites and it says it is between 2 and 4 M/s. Im not familar with how close these speeds should be compared to what the company sells as "100 M/s". Hope someone can clarify if I need to contact the company. Oh and if it makes a difference, these are the speeds when I am plugged directly into the modem and it is half this speed when I am connected via my wireless modem.

As it is cable, your line is shared across your building. Give it a go at 4am, and I bet your speeds are higher.

Those speeds are maximum capacity and NOT average expected usage speeds.

If you were connecting to another node on their network you would/should be able to transfer at that rate.

Across the internet, it is highly unlikely that you would ever get those kind of speeds (especially from a cable company).

There are too many factors that the ISP cannot control that are outside of its network that directly affect speed and transfer rates.
