Has anybody encountered this today- Yahoo appears to have reformatted itself and wiped every attachment you have stored, in the process.

ie...I had some files in Rtf stored as draft attachments- go to open them and bang! they either immediately get deleted, or they appear as freaky new encoded text.

This is nuts...

In response to this, I just went to my Yahoo account and opened up a word attachment that I didn't need. I had absolutely no problems.

-so then its just me?

This is totally doing my head in. I've just lost a file i had worked on for about 3 months which I was keeping as email attachment in drafts folder, ready to send later.

The other stuff has been re-encoded, ie, its still there but a whole new encrypted gobbledygook has been added to every word. Aaaaahhhh

I'm sorry to hear that. Similar things have happened to me, and it is very frustrating and even distressing (particularly if it was an academic assignment you were working on).

Perhaps it is also happening to other Yahoo users, but it has not happened to me.

i've had off and on problems with yahoo mail for years. some of my emails never make it to their destinations, some people have sent never make it to me etc. other problems include inability to log in, respond, and their spam filters seems to be letting more spam through

if everybody didnt know my account which i've had for like 10 years i'd switch
