Sorry if this has been asked 1000 times before, but the search function isn't working for me. Where, if anywhere, would I find ATMs that have instructions in English and would accept my NZ ATM card? I had no problem in Bangkok but Korea seems less well endowed. |

Yep, KEB will have one out the four machines in the lobby that will accept foreign cards, and in English too. It'll say 'foreign card acceptable' on the screen. |

In Gimpo and in Neung-dong, that is not the case. None of the KEB would except foreign cards.
I've had no trouble using my foriegn card at convenience store ATMS or subway ATMS however. |

^ Same. The subway/convenience store ones always work for my foreign card. |

A BIG KEB will always have at least one ATM that takes foreign cards. But it may not be the same machine every time. The smaller branches and standalone ATM lobbies usually don't have an international ATM, but in my experience, even the domestic-only KEB machines speak English.
Can you direct me to a convenience store/subway ATM with English? It usually feels like playing the slot machine, hoping I'll hit the correct combination of buttons to actually get some cash out of the thing. |
