I'm wondering - to have something shipped to you in Korea, how does that work with addresses? To have something shipped from the US, do they write your Korean address in English letters, or what?

Just wondering how it all works.

You can do all English, all Korean, both or mixed, it doesn't really matter as long as you don't try to write the US address in hanguel Laughing

I have had packages get to my place with both English and Korean and I have sent packages back home with using Korean and English for the return address.

So for sending it back to the US you also use English letters?

From the USA to Korea:

the receiver's address can be written in English or Korean (you needa write ROK, of course, for the English postal workers to know which country it's heading.. once it's in Korea, Korean is golden).

the sender's address must be in English, or your fellow countrymen won't understand it.

From Korean to USA:

the receiver's address MUST BE IN ENGLISH because you are sending stuff to an English speaking country where Korean is not used.

the sender's address can be either in Korean or English, as long as ROK and the postcode are clearly indicated.
