Anyone know of one? |

I don't think you can receive satellite signals so far away. The earth is too rounded to allow this angle of reception.
I know that XM satellite radio from the USA won't work here (I believe hawaii is even out).
TV stations do it by bouncing signals off of more than one satellite, I believe. They don't want you to receive satellite radio in other countries, so they don't do this. |

XM satellite radio back home works with satellites that are in geostationary orbit - that is, they follow the north american continent as the earth spins. there would be no reception here.
the only other way to get live cbc is with a short wave radio - but it's not that easy.
Ah .. I just thought of another way. A little pc hooked into your car stereo. The PC would have to be equipped with WiBRO internet access and then you could stream it from their website. It'd be kind of a pain.
Why not just get an ipod and listen to the free podcasts? There's enough CBC radio material there to last you through your daily commute. |
