Let me emphasize that I was asked, not commanded to do this. My Epik cantract reads that my supplemantary instruction pay and overtime pay will be equal to that of Korean teachers. Anyone taught overnight camps and/or know anything about what the pay might be? I'm waiting to hear their offer. Thanks. |

6000 won a hour is the number commonly bruited about on these boards, although my co-teacher gave that the horse laugh and said it was 5000 won per hour for Korean teachers doing overtime.
EDIT: Should this be the case for you, I would give the standard Korean reply which entails sucking your teeth, muttering "Ago" and then say (sadly) " I think it is not possible".

I might send a proper number their way to scare them off, but they might see that as interest. So, what you said.
...
If they force it, develop the shits that weekend and stay home. |

I was asked to do this also. My contract states something like 25000 per hour for extra classes, with the 6000w referring to NON-teaching hours.(EPIK)
Co-Teach said it was 50,000 for the mornings work so I jumped on it.
NB:The Saturday deal isn't overtime.
That 6000 malarkey is a larf. I wouldn't get out of bed for that. |

I was asked to do a weekend camp in a couple of weeks, total of 10 hours over 2 days at 25,000 an hour. I said yes! |
