I would like to get internet access in my apartment. What internet companies out there are good and possibly with English support that I could call? My Korean is limited.

There is a CNM (cable and more) box in my room, and it looks like I could get cable service from them, but I am not sure how good their service is. Cable deals like this in America don't really give good service.

If there is no phone line yet installed in my apartment, how much would it cost to get one installed and pay for DSL connection?

A lot of Internet access here in Korea is bundled with the Cable ... You will probably find that your apartment is already cabled with a broadband internet connection ... So you will be using Cable Broadband rather than ADSL ...

I know that last year my public school helped me to arrange for the connection ... This year my new hagwon had already arranged for the TV and Internet so both were on when I arrived and I actually only had to plug the cable directly into my Computer for it to work ...

Broadband is much more accessible ... faster and cheaper than it was for me in Australia and I expect for much of the world. Unlimited broadband seems to be fairly standard rather than extremely expensive.

I would suggest asking your school to help getting it all organised ... It usually seems to be done the same day that it is requested ...

I use Cable and More.

Around 40,000 a month for unlimited broadband internet and cable TV. Quite impressed with the number of cable TV channels I have that are English language.

Yeah, ask your school to call for you.
