I'm looking at this software:

http://www.satellitetvtopc.com/?hop=mychoices

which supposedly allows you to watch 3000 channels for a one-time fee of $49.95. There are also a couple of other satellite-tv-on-pc sites on the web (google "Satellite TV on PC").

I've used TVU, Veoh, and Sopcast before but wasn't satisfied with the picture quality or the availability of channels I wanted to watch (i.e. slow load times, low resolution, or general unavailability).

Can anyone attest to picture quality and value of this kind of software? I wouldn't mind paying for it if it actually works.

http://www.tvunetworks.com/

Look at the pic on that link.

It's using TVU player.

It looks like some sort of scam.
