Does anyone know where the pension office in Daegu is? Is it true that in order to get your pension back, you just show up at the office with a copy of your plane ticket? Also, do you get back double what you've paid in (what you've paid in plus your employer's matching contribution)? Also, does leaving your contract early (7 months instead of 12) affect your pension? Thanks to anyone who can answer any of these questions that I have. |

I believe it is in Suseong-Gu across from YBM/TGIF. At least it was in 2005. That's where a few of my ex-colleagues went with the boss (Jack?). The other stuff I'm not sure about as I received my pension when I was in Canada.

Right. 10th floor of the tall gray and black building across from TGI Fridays. (Beomeo intersection)
You can take subway line 2 to Beomeo intersection.
-and yes, you get double your contribution
-and no, leaving early doesn't forfeit your claim |

You can go to any pension office to file the paperwork for your refund. I went to their office in Chimsan-dong. Probably the easiest and most central one to get to is on the 8th floor of Samsung Building outside of Exit 16 of Banwoldang Station.
Make sure you bring your ARC, plane ticket, passport, and banking information for where the funds are to be sent. |
