I've been weight training fairly regularly for several years, and I'm looking to do something totally different.

I'm really interested in the conditioning that comes along with boxing training.

Does anyone know of a good gym in/around the Hongdae area that offers training courses? I'd be willing to travel as far as Dongdaemun if the gym was proper.

theres a place across from the mcdiks in mangwon dong. it's 5 minutes from hongdae. they have a kick boxing program thats more cardio kick boxing. they've got heavy bags but no actual ring. it's good for cardio, but not much else.

if you are interested in the other spectrum, i know of a pretty hardcore place that just opened up. it's kind of like a small warehouse full of steel weight racks(actual squat racks) and kettleballs. guys associated with korean mma opened up the place and it will seriously introduce you to a new world of physical fitness(pain). imagine pushing a tractor tire 100 yards, not rolling it but flipping it end over end. not fun but no pain no gain. it's near konkuk/donguk university....near the stadium where they have all the spirit mc fights.

I go to a place near Kyung Hee University. Its in Dongdaemun-gu but close to Hoegi Station - it might be too far. Anyway, the instructor is a former Korean and Pan-Asian champion. Having trained in martial arts, I have enjoyed the change. The training is a great workout, which builds up in intensity.

His phone and website are: 02-968-8288 / http://cyworld.com/9688288/

Try this site for some other listings http://www.dojang.net/index.asp (It won't work on my computer at the moment, but I have used this site successfully before).
