What's the story with Sajik in Busan? I have a job offer there and I'm curious what the neighborhood is like. Quiet or lively? Commercial or residential? Old or new? Clean or dirty?

If I wanted to go to Starbucks how far would I have to go?

It looks like it's only a few stops away from PNU. What does that translate to in minutes? What about a cab ride, how long and how much?

Anyone have any information? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Chops,

Sajik is a nice area, right next to the baseball stadium. If you haven't been to a Korean baseball game, you'll love the madness. There is also a huge indoor swimming pool there. More residential than commericial.

Lots of trees and parks. Unlike most places urbans areas, there are lots of places for children and their parents to ride bikes and play games.

Starbucks? I believe the closest is PNU, which is a 15 minute cab ride, about 5 or 6 thousand won. There is a Papa Roti, where you can drink coffee and eat bread. The owner is nice. However, where will you live. Many teachers work in Sajik but live elsewhere.

The only downside is the walk from the subway station to your school. I know about nine teachers in the area and all of us but one have to walk an extra 10-15 minutes, and it gets pretty hot during the summer. However, you do get to walk under the trees and pass the stadium.
