Does anyone have problems receiving mail/letters with only the address in English on it?

I recently changed all my bills and other crap to come to Korea I'm worried about it getting lost.

Nope. I get mail sent to my school. It takes about a week and a half to come over from England. My friend gets her's sent to the apartment, no hassle and with the address in English on it.

I think it's fairly simple. It gets directed from Seoul and then the post code and apartment number do the rest. I wouldn't worry.

I get everything sent to my school. I'm currently waiting for a book though that was sent over 3-weeks ago, so I'm guessing that's been lost, but it's been the only one (of many) that hasn't made it.

As other have said, I get everything sent to my school & have had no dramas yet. I've had mail & a parcel from home, mail from other countries and stuff sent from Seoul all with no dramas.
Getting stuff sent to my house would be a different matter, noone can find it to deliver pizza so I wouldn't be betting on my mail showing up!

Well I live in a well known apt building in my town, it's just a matter if the mail man can read it or not. There are only 10 English people in this town, so if they see English writing they must know it's one of the addresses

hmmm.....guess we'll see.

I'm in the "always had it sent to my school, no problems yet" camp. It seems like someone, presumably in Seoul, writes the address in hangeul on the package before it hits the rural posties.

No problems here. Mine is sent to my landlord, who phones my school for me to pick it up. My parents routinely misspell every Korean word and it still arrives safely.

I sent a pdf of our address & phone number (x8 ) to my parents.

They print and stick onto any parcels they send. Only problem was with Easter eggs, which were opened by knife at customs. They completely repackaged them and sent them on, took 50 days instead of the normal 6-12 .

I live in the sticks but I receive my mail just fine. It takes about 1.5-2 weeks for me to receive mail from back home but I do get it. The address is written in English too..not Korean.

I received a first class, registered airmail business letter from Bermuda here in the sticks. Even spelled my name wrong.
Only took a month!

I live in Daegu and usually have had no problem with regular packages, but have had difficulty with dutiable packages being held up until the post office/courier company people contact someone who can assure them that the cash for the duty will be forthcoming on delivery. Also, I have had parcels diverted because my hagwon was closed when the delivery guy attempted to drop it off in the morning. I'd say about 30% of my mail has had some kind of hold up.

I did the same thing. My parents love using it and I never have a problem getting mail. (The US post office makes them write in English, so both are on the label.)
