My door looked like that in the first place i lived, I just got so pissed off with removing them I couldn't be bothered to do it anymore, they just built up over time and looked like that after a few weeks or months.

I sorted out a neighbour problem recently and proud I am of it too.

Our apartment block is quiet. The walls are pretty thick you can hear the occasional thudding and closing of doors.

A Uni student moved in between me and my American friend.

This guy would sing at the top of his voice for a couple of hours anytime between 2am-7am. Many thoughts would rush through my head as I could hear his terrible, grating singing voice at this time. I'm not confrontational in the least and left a note on his door saying '조용히 하오!' That night he was singing at 5am for two hours.

Talked with my co-teacher and he phoned up the landlady, who had a chat with him.

Left another note on his door '조용히 하오!' that evening, just to hammer it in.

No singing for a couple of days.

Then another night of singing at 3am. I let him sing for 6 minutes before going round hammering on his window and I went back to bed. Not another peep.

Talked with my co-teacher about it. He talked with the landlady again. She mentioned that when she talked with the guy he said IN HIS DEFENCE that he had to practice because he was singing in a concert in a couple of weeks. WTF! Beggars belief! What part of someones brain is detached when they think that singing at the top of their voices WHEN OTHERS ARE ASLEEP IS OK? OMG. The landlady talked with him again.

Not heard anything for a while. So I have complete sympathy with people who get f*king angry with constant noise that keeps them awake that can't be sorted out. I'm pleased that I got sorted out, and the way I went around it. Although if it carried on then a number of thoughts pass through your head about the best way to sort the situation (super soaker, murder etc). A Canadian teacher went up a month ago to shut him up but this guy speaks no english, so probably not the best tactic.

There's an ajumma in our building whose job it is to go around and tear dnow all the ads on people's doors. Rarely do I have more than 2 things tacked on my door at a time, and they're always gone the next day.

Given they would normally all be spread over the building this should be easier as they are all collected together.

I have a woman next door who comes home with her drunken friends and will be up talking well after midnight on a weeknight.

I banged on the wall one night, and they stopped. Another night they banged back and kept going.

I now play Iron Man or War Pigs for 30 seconds, full volume. Seems to fix the problem.

Would she rather take them down from 30 separate doors, or 1 door? OP did most of her work for her.

I went up two neighboring villas to get all the flyers; the flyers were on my neighbor's door for a couple hours. (Why four to five story buildings are called villas in Korea, I don't know)

Someone walking up the stairs laughed really hard, then knocked on my neighbor's door which is across from me diagonally -- I can hear knocks and recognize whose door it's on, whether it be across, beside, or two doors down from me. It was the old man who lives at the top of our villa and he said something in astonishment walking up the stairs. He knocked on my neighbors door, so I came out too and I got pointed at and we all laughed really hard.

I wonder what they'd think if they were aware of the song titles.
