|
|
The Suwon Samsung Football Club will give free admission to the
first 1,000 foreigners who show up to the Suwon World Cup stadium
this Saturday prior to the Pohang match. In celebration of World Culture
Day, Suwon would like to honor all of the foreigners currently living in
the Suwon area.
All you have to do is show up at the information center directly outside
of the North gate and show your passport or alien registration card. You
will then be given a ticket for entrance into the East stands. Please remember
that it is only the first 1,000 people that will recieve tickets. Only one ticket
will be given to each person showing correct identification.
Tickets will start to be given away at 4:30 pm on Saturday and kickoff is at
7:30.
If you are interested in joining the foreign supporters organization, there will
be a booth setup next to the information booth outside the North gate where
you can sign-up to be a part of the fun. There are currently 32 people registered
and 9 of them enjoyed last weekend's trip to Gwangju. So, if you are looking to
to make some new friends or for a chance to travel around Korea, then stop by
and see us before the game.
For any questions regarding Saturday's game or the foreign supporters organization,
please contact James Maas at [email protected]

You mean just "looking foreign" won't cut it for this? I'm stunned. Stunned, I tell you!
Actually, I wish I could go. Sadly, I have another obligation that day. |

A rematch of last year's semi-finals and this year's 1 and 3 in the tables. Sounds like a pretty good match to me... |

I just found out that the game is expected to be close to a sell out, so get their early if you want a good seat. |

It's bait, I tell you, bait. They're trying to coax all the streakers out who were inspired by last week's performance. This time though, they will be Properly Seen To.

Anyone heading to the Daejeon Citizen / Ulsan game in Daejeon this Sunday? There was a great crowd of foreigners at one of the Citizen games a couple of weeks back.

Now that's more like it. That's the kind of attitude most Koreans should have towards us! |

Maybe it's one of those police stings where they send out letters to fugitives telling them they have won a contest. When the people turn up to claim their prize, they are arrested.
This might be part of LMB's new crackdown on illegal foreigners |

Strange how nobody complains about 'racism' on this thread. I thought it was the favorite pastime of most readers on Dave's. |

Friggin' racist Koreans don't think anyone without "pure blood" can afford tickets.

Thanks to everyone that came out. There were about 545 foreigners that took advantage of the free tickets. We shall do it again next year. Of course, Suwon won 1-0 meaning that they went undefeated the first half of the season, 15 wins and 2 draws.
